“Emergent Reader and the Big Book” -- Provides books to build fluency, expression and comprehension skills for emergent readers.


“Leveled Classroom Library” -- Provides books to support the Columbia University Teacher’s College Reader’s Workshop Model. (This grant was partially funded last year.)


“The Book Buffet” -- Provides for a variety of just-right books that the children can read independently. (This grant was partially funded last year.)


“Elmo Projector” -- Enables the viewing of small, but valuable images with an entire class. Virtually any image from any place can now be viewed. This is shared with Bogert.

“Social Studies Alive! Regions of our Country” -- Provides for textbooks and accompanying resources that will provide enthusiasm and excitement for history and geography.


“Interactive response System” -- Interactive tool that can be used to collect and display students’ responses. It is used with the Smart Boards.


“Quality Literature in Classrooms” -- Allows children to choose their own books based on individual interest and ability level.


“Classroom Scanners” -- Enhances the planning and implementation of Smart Board lessons by providing graphic integration.

“Scanners for Success” --  Enhances the planning and implementation of Smart Board lessons by providing graphic integration.


“Writing Project” -- Provides for books that show successful writing techniques.


“Feria de Abril Espanola” -- Sponsoring a professional Flamenco Dance Troupe to perform thereby enabling the students to partake in an authentic Spanish festival.


“Author Study: Edgar Allan Poe” -- Provides for the purchase of books and multi-media materials to be used in class to study the works of Edgar Allan Poe.


“Reaching All Learning Styles in Social Studies” -- Provides for multi-media materials to enhance the grade 8 social studies curriculum.


“Brock Magiscopes” -- Provides for the purchase of 10 magiscopes to be used to study microorganisms.


“Television Studio” -- Provides the equipment to fund the launching of the Cavallini television studio.
